Is @jtx the only app in the whole #Android ecosystem that supports journals?? Why?

#jtxBoard #vjournal

I've just discovered the VJOURNAL component of the iCalendar standard, for syncing journal entries:

https://icalendar.org/iCalendar-RFC-5545/3-6-3-journal-component.html
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICalendar

It's supported by some CalDAV servers, such as Radicale:

https://radicale.org

But the only client I can find with support for VJOURNAL is @jtx:

https://jtx.techbee.at/

Sadly, jtx Board only supports Android AFAIK, limiting the utility of VJOURNAL sync.

Are there any other VJOURNAL clients in existence?

@jtx Who was it again that standardized #VJOURNAL? I would like to ask them how and when I will be able to r/w my diary from outside Android.
Support VJOURNAL in Thunderbird

 # already has a great support for VTODO VCALENDAR and contacts. What is missing though is support for VJOURNAL entries. Journals are close to calendar entries. A great vesoverview gives jtx Additionally they introduce "notes" which are simply journals without a date. The open source calDAV and card...

Does anyone have experience with Vjournal protocols on Linux desktop or web based? maybe in nextcloud, or something else.

With jtx Board 2.2.0 you can now change the app bar behavior to either search for entries or quickly create a new entry in a predefined collection 🤩

I'm just wondering:
why isn't there #vJournal support? Looks like a neat thing. Nextcloud backend supports it and it would be a great standart between applications IMO. You could sync it to any DAV (CalDAV) capable server, you could easily move data between apps... I only found #jtxBoard on Android and #korganizer on PC (and #evolution but I dodn't try that one) capable of doing journals over CalDAV. For Windows, there's nothing. Why is that? Is that a bad protocol or something?
