I'm looking for some nerdy/niche assistance. I want to start printing my own weekly agendas based on the current state of my online calendar. Sure it will change, but I would love to be able to sit down on a Sunday evening and review with paper & pencil to settle into the coming work week.

Ideally something that is a modifiable script that I can output to text format, or template into a file with jinga2 or something similar.

So I instantly went looking for an alternative:

There's https://super-productivity.com/ which is #openSource and claims to have #CalDAV support but I couldn't get that to work unfortunately.

Apparently https://kontact.kde.org/components/korganizer/ #KOrganizer lets you just drag todos into your calendar to quickly convert them into events.

So far I've been getting by using https://tasks.org/  and https://useplanify.com/  synced via #Nextcloud for scheduling, grouping and prioritizing to-dos, managing and sharing my shopping list etc.

Hmmmm, setting up cursed Radicale + CalDAV/CardDAV + database synchornization via Syncthing (already used for file storage), throwing a DAV server on my server rack or digging into the rabbit hole of building calendar sync via matrix as < polycule > feature ?

Or any other solutions ? I'd just like to sync my current offline calendar of my Linux with my Android. Syncthing right now is the only synchronization I use.

okay hmm. I've now been extensively dogfooding #TasksOrg plus #Davx5 plus #Baikal as a lightweight #CalDAV backend for a couple weeks as part of my relaunch of personal task management, and I'm starting to think this would be a great subject for a video on the Surfhosting Peertube channel.

I need to use it for a few more weeks though, because I'm still discovering things about the software and letting my usage patterns evolve.

one cool thing that I think will make this useful is that I'm using Tasks.org (which is an Android app, despite the name) in at least three ways simultaneously: for tasks which repeat every single day, for a to-do list for the current day and upcoming days, and for a to-do list for various task domains which stretch up to several months into the future.

I think this will make for a great video on how to use this admittedly complicated but very powerful #selfhosted task management system.
