Here's a soft #introduction before my migration from [email protected] is complete.

Hi, I'm Joey. I'm a #linguist, more specifically a #sociolinguist and #phonetician, at #BYU. I do research on American English accents and dialects, with most of my recent focus being on #UtahEnglish.

I also think about methods and quantitative stuff a lot within the area of #sociophonetics. I like #rstats and #dataviz.

For anyone interested in #UtahEnglish, #IdahoEnglish, #MontanaEnglish, or #WyomingEnglish, you might be interested in these preliminary results I write up based on data that I collected this summer.
