@Snoro anyone actually thought that the 'aviation industry' ever thought to reduce CO2 emissions? It should be clear that without government regulations nothing will change and we will have disasters of epic and unprecedented proportions. Government is the only force greater than billionaires' money, industries, and capitalism... That's why #EvilElon and his ilk are so keen to control it. Thankfully the #AmericanVoters are busy fighting imaginary crises and their woke #CultureWar. All invented to split #UsThePeople and wage and win their #ClassWar as you got to direct the people's anger towards something. Wouldn't be surprised if we saw burning of women as witches, who supposedly control the weather as hurricanes wipe out Florida and droughts and floods decimate our food supplies... Every year we don't #BanFossilFuels we are getting closer to societal collapse - all for making insanely rich people ever richer. Just like out of Monty Python - idiotic! #WTFUSA

@caesar @ChrisMayLA6 true that only minorities vote for leaders that then win elections. However, it still means that leaders are duly elected. It is also not clear, if the people who don't actively vote would actually change the outcome. Isn't it more likely that people not voting would follow the existing voting patterns?
Regardless, especially on the topic of the #ClimateCrisis there is no indication that a candidate, who is strong on environmental protection and willing to take decisive action against CO2 polluters will stand any chance winning an election.
So my point is that it is #UsThePeople, who are as a group overwhelmingly unwilling to change or aggressively fight the #ClimatCrisis.

Majorities are simply not going to vote for a party telling them to stop eating meat, stop flying around the globe, and stop subsidies for the #OilAndGasIndustry so gas at the pump will become more expensive... At least in democracies politicians must win votes to govern.
