IXIOn 1st May 2004, Urfaust released their stellar debut 'Geist ist Teufel'.
With their first album, the Dutch had undeniably found their very own niche in the black metal cosmos.
No matter how dirty, gloomy and oppressive it may be, it is hard to deny a certain fascination that emanates from it.
After disbanding in 2023, the duo not only left a void in modern black metal, but a respectable mark in the history of the genre as a whole.
