Here's a look at some of the future kroot of the #Undevoured kindred that are still on the table. The more I look at these dudes, the more tempted I am to Pitt the Tyranids aside and just make more bird boys! 🐦

For the bases for my #Undevoured Kroot, I went with a jungle theme, which was an idea that had always spoken to me, and I felt like all the greens would contrast well against the reds in the models.

And when it came to jungle, I envisioned them all standing on some broken down jungle ruins, so I wanted to carry this across their bases. I didn't want the sigmarite, AoS bullshit that seems to be on all the premade GW ruins bases, so I turned to the scenic base on Katakros, which has some really wild and different designs on it.

And as that's a pretty expensive thing to have to buy a bunch of just to cut it up for basing, I used some oyumaru type reusable mold material to copy the details in Aves Apoxie Sculpt and Clay. This worked waaay better than I'd hoped.

And as I intended to gave some flying/leaping members of the army, and I hate flying stands, I sculpted some stumps and cast those to use for basing.

Heres how the bases turned out, but I still feel like I can do a bit better on them now that I've discovered Dirty Down Moss. Hope to be able to get back to that soon!
