UNSMIL: Fezzan Women's Political Movement stresses importance of women's role in elections

Representatives of the Fezzan Women's Political Movement has stressed the importance of the role that women can and should play in the upcoming municipal elections. This came during a meeting organized by the Women's Empowerment Section of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya last week, during which the efforts made to mobilize women and encourage them to participate in political life at the level of their local communities were highlighted.

Takala welcomes UN mission and Menfi's statements on CBL

Mohammed Takala, the President of the High Council of State (HCS), reaffirmed his support on Tuesday for the statements made by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) and the Presidential Council (PC) regarding the Central Bank of Libya (CBL).  He called for forming a committee under the auspices of the Arab League to review contentious issues and unresolved matters within the political process.
