#Lansing’s #SparrowHealth System is on its way to being acquired by #MichiganMedicine. Oversight boards for both #health systems approved the acquisition, though still needs regulatory approval. A Sparrow official said the agreement will enable the Lansing hospital system to expand services to mid-Michigan residents. #UMHS has committed to invest $800M in Sparrow’s facilities, operations, & other strategic investments over 8 years.

#Michigan #Medicine will pay about $35M to relocate & expand its #Ypsilanti #Health Center after Thurs approval by the #UMich Board of Regents. The health center will relocate to the campus of Michigan Innovation Headquarters at the former location of the EMU College of Business, 300 W. Michigan Ave. in Ypsilanti. The regents approved during its Dec. 8 meeting a 15-year lease on the property.
