‘Two-tier justice’ in Britain is real – but it’s not what the right says it is.

Much as I respect George Monbiot and RUSI (the org behind the underpinning analysis <paywall>), it seems to me that justice (whatever we mean) is naturally politicised by the policy choices governing parties put into law and the sentencing guidelines handed to judges. And they are informed by what scares or abhors lawmakers most (or dog whistles loudest).
