@Debhruin I think this is unlikely to happen even in case of #twitterpocalype. Advertising is the oxygen Twitter needs to survive. Most people will keep their account and stay activate on the platform as it could be sold to someone else if it runs out of cash.

For all the pain it causes, I believe that for many let go from Twitter and Facebook, this will lead to opportunities to start something new. Too much talent had been locked up in these big companies. Time for some more disruption. The best thing to have happened may be the #Twitterpocalype
