why do i have to write out a post and type in a hashtag to search. i guess i could use the search function and then choose to search that hashtag but its ... not quite as elegant as i could be or ... is it.

me: i guess i'm thinking of how twitter search used to be. i say "used to be" because twitter had less spam back in the day and now we cannot leave our accounts unlocked because there's so much spam that if we leave our twitter account unlocked then we'll get about 10 new spam accounts following us per week which is annoying

I am getting as much as one spam per day right now into my Twitter DMs - most likely from bots, I suspect.

This has been getting worse since 2 weeks ago. Since November, more spam per day gets through that used to get through per year on my Twitter account.

I’m getting this #Twitter DM 2-3 times per week. All from new accounts. This one went to 53 people.

This spam began AFTER Musk fired the first round of employees. Nothing like this before the #Takeover.

MOREOVER, reporting the spam does nothing to the person who sent it.

You have to MANUALLY block the account.

The wheels are falling off the bus, which makes me sad and POed at the same time. 😕 🤬
