Almost there! 👍 #tweetdelete
Nice evening for a #TweetDelete aka #DeleteTwitter #BirdSite

I don't know who may need this, but here's a warning:

Never use #tweetdelete

They're spammers.

And if you're a spammer, the likelyhood that you will engage in other sorts of shady stuff is very high.

vous avez des alternatives à #tweetdelete qui ne soient pas payantes ou pas trop cheres et qui marchent VRAIMENT svp?
@Archnemysis @spreadmastodon I don’t know if #TweetDelete still works given the API mess over at the Musk hellscape, but you can try it. This is what I used.

Delete Tweets (X Posts) - X.com's Official Partner

Delete tweets (X posts) in bulk based on their age or specific text they contain, run it once or automatically on a schedule.

Someone just Quote-Tweeted a tweet I made in 2019. As a reminder: Before the API lockdowns I ran TweetDelete for anything more than a few months old, and I confirmed multiple times Twitter wasn't pulling up tweets past that date. So either the Twitter website was lying and just not pulling up older tweets (past where I could previously scroll), or they deliberately restored tweets deleted by 3rd party services regardless of user intent. I wonder how many others they may have done that to. #twitter #birdsite #tweetdelete #dataretention
@sallydipple I’d use #tweetdelete first to nuke the content. May as well keep the handle. A bunch of inactive accounts probably just makes #elon sadder. I would remove any relevant meta data from profile. They seem to be losing that to hackers at a fair rate.
66824 Tweets gelöscht. #Tweetdelete

Done.

Bit of work (wait for archive zip, use #TweetDelete to mass delete your tweets and likes, scrub profile, change pic to a pixel, silly I know, bc I don't think my data really got deleted, surely they keep all).

But then it's just couple clicks.

I thought it would somehow hurt, at least a little, after 11 years. But no. Since coming here, twitter as a platform for my own voice quickly became meaningless. And increasingly, others sound shrill there as well.

📍December 16:
- I requested my archive from #birdsite and downloaded it
- I changed my Bio to: This is a read only account
- I encouraged my followers for the last time to find themselves a Plan B because #birdsite is going down the drain
- As I have >200K tweets over 14 years, I couldn’t delete them FOC. I purchased a #TweetDelete premium to finish the task once and for all
- Let the #purge begin 🔥🔥🔥
