Tried to capture motion instead of just pattern with this one.
Layered waves in blues + greens, carved and shaped to push past the frame instead of sitting inside it.
Soft, sculptural, a little like a cross-section of water or terrain.
Finished a new tufted piece: Not a Nott.
Inspired by the geometric textile work of David Nott - thick black lines,
earth tones, circles and blocks arranged like stained glass or a tiny
architectural map.
Close enough to show the influence. Different enough to stand on its own.
Just finished a new tufted piece experimenting with drip and flow
textures.
Layered greens melt down into lighter mint and cream shapes, then carved
back to create a fluid, almost moss-like movement. I wanted it to feel like
something organic - part slime, part forest canopy, part topographic map.
Really enjoying pushing tufting beyond flat rugs into more sculptural
fiber art.
I made a fiber piece inspired by a traditional flower tattoo

A small tufted piece dedicated to the NYC MTA G train.
Infrastructure as art.

I also recently created a site for the meatspace stuff I like to make.
Here is a post about a rug I tufted.
