Sailing Tropical Dawn

We uploaded all our podcast episodes to here on our blog/website, so we won’t be dependant on Podomatic or any other podcast hosting platform and we save some money this way.

I’m not sure anyone is getting our newsletter, if you don you would have been getting a whole lot of emails over the last few days, sorry for that! I haven’t been able to switch off the “send Newsletter” feature when adding a new post (each podcast episode is a post on WordPress).

Anyway, from now on you can follow our blog via this RSS feed: svtropicaldawn.blog/category/podcast/feed/
We’ll try update all the podcast platforms as well, so if you are subscribed there hopefully nothing will change, we just need to figure out if and how we can do that.

Most seafarer-ee thing I did this week was cutting a piece of rope with a broken sea shell. 💪😅 #tropicaldawn #saillife #sailwife

Moved S/V Tropical Dawn post to their own blog

I’ve moved all posts about our cruising adventures on board our fine small ship Tropical Dawn to its own blog: svtropicaldawn.blog. We (Kay and myself) will be posting all sailing, cruising and boat related posts on there from now on.

Tropical Dawn podcast

We (Kay and Dimitri) have been thinking and talking about doing a podcast about our sailing adventures for a while now and we finally got round to recording an introduction and a first episode.

It is out on Podomatic and as soon as we can get it sorted we’ll publish on other podcasting platforms as well. For now you can click below link to listen on Podomatic:

Getting started

In our first episode we share with you how we got started with sailing, bought our first (and second) sailboat and got ready to take her across the ocean. Some practical info as well as insights we gathered that helped us get to where we are now, which is actually sailing our own yacht on the ocean. Mentioned in this episode: Bernard Moitessier, Joshua Slocum, full keel versus fin keel. If you want to get in touch with us: contact form.
