One of the skills I acquired as an adult that I greatly appreciate: the ability to use transit with confidence. I grew up out in Idaho farm country, then in a Spokane suburb. Didn't ride a city bus until I was out of college. Now I prefer transit/bike to driving.
Yesterday: Amtrak + Sound Transit to family I stayed with.
Today: Sound Transit to the airport. IndyGo Transit on the other end to my hotel in Indianapolis.
