Transfeindllichkeit ist ebenso wenig nur eine Meinung (nach dem Motto "das wird man jawohl noch sagen dürfen") wie "Linkshänder sind ungeschickt und faul" (ja, das und andere schlimme Dinge dachten die Leute früher* tatsächlich).

Transsein ist angeboren und fügt niemandem einen Schaden zu. Transfeindlichkeit hingegen ist eine willentliche Entscheidung zu bösartigem Verhalten, die Menschen schadet.

The Canadian Antihate Network (CAHN) and the CBC have identified over 190 Canadians who were on the now-defunct white supremacist dating site WhiteDate.net. Among them are a number of members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), including Royal Canadian Air Force Major Tristan Armstrong, who apparently left a trail of thousands of posts in far-right forums between 2019-2024. The CAF is now investigating him.

Armstrong's online posts championed Nazi Germany and Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists, really off-the-charts views about Black people, women, and LGBTQ folks.

Another is Ottawa-based naval reservist Brogan Hale ("blueeyedsailor" on WhiteDate.net), who has expressed eliminationist ideas in order to "keep Canada white".

And a third is Brandon Longpré, a self-identified corporal in the Governor General's Foot Guards in Ottawa. Longpré isn't quoted in either of these articles, but having observed WhiteDate closely while it was still up and running, I can tell you that it's pretty inconceivable that anyone could have had an account on there without knowing that it was a forum for people on the white nationalist/neo-nazi spectrum.

The CBC article also identifies the WhiteDate accounts of two already well known Canadian nazis: Shawn Beauvais-MacDonald of the Frontenac Active Club/Second Sons Canada and Exiles of the Golden Age organizer Lane Pommer.

i can see both sides of this, & so cannot see any way it will / can ever be truly resolved.

that said, it is infuriating that the Lesbian Action Group keeps peddling the lie that

over recent years i've posted many times on this topic, wrt such anti-trans bigotry both here in straya & in UK, pointing out a gross failing in 100% of the public reporting of this accursed issue, viz... what do peeps mean when they say "transgender women"?

"transgender" is the broadest of umbrella terms, spanning a significant diversity of gender identity. on one "side" are peeps who have no or minimal surgery [& want none], ie, to be gross about it, still have testicles & penis. i can entirely understand cis-lesbians wanting nothing to do with penis-owners. however on the other "side" of this broad umbrella are post-op transsexual women, but nobody seems to talk about us, or at least not without ignorance & malice.
