I am feeling for my trans siblings who had painful experiences this holiday season.

I also want to share that #trans folks experience all sorts of holidays. For me, this year, I had a really nice time. I got earrings from my SIL, and I haven’t heard someone deadname me at all this holiday.

The earrings were particularly sweet, as they really reinforce that she and her side of the family are accepting of me, something that was very much an open question before I came out.

Plus, my eldest and I both got our ears pierced in September, and today we wore statement earrings to an event for the first time! She went with a cascade of dangling bow-and-holly charms, and I went with three-and-a-half-inch thin golden hoops. My ears are tired, but happy!
