The #NezCasse locomotives from rail construction and maintenance companies #Strukton and #VolkerRail are the most difficult to photograph as they do not have a regular schedule compared to cargo trains. In December I was able to photograph the 1736 near Rotterdam.

The #CertusRail HLE 27 pair. Certus is a small private operator in Belgium, mostly focusing on cargo trains. In 2024 they bought two HLE 27 locomotives from SNCB. Unfortunately, the locomotives got scrapped recently. #TrainPhoto

A #Class66 locomotive from Railtraxx with a steel train from Andernacht towards Antwerpen. Photographed just before the Belgium border at Nispen. #TrainPhoto

#Bzmot time 😍! Previous weekend I photographed the #MAV 117 355 with a Bzx and modernized sibling 117 370 as train 6816 from Debrecen to Nyírábrány, in Vámospércs. A real rural Hungary vibe, where the switches, signals and level crossings are manually handled. #TrainPhoto

More #Loktober: The Nightjet 403 to Zürich HB diverted via Rotterdam Centraal. Hauled by a NS Vectron. #TrainPhoto

The #BaneNOR / #SJNorge 4651 🇳🇴 with a set of carriages, running as train 471 from Trondheim to Bodø. The diesel locomotive is a #Di4 type, built by Henschel. Only five Di4 locomotives were ever made — though one was sadly scrapped in 2024 after a fatal train crash. Capturing this iconic locomotive on camera was high on my wishlist. #TrainPhoto

Two  #ICNG sets passing through Rotterdam Zuid station as the intercity towards Eindhoven. On the left, you can still see a few old tracks — remnants of the long-gone Feijenoord shunting yard. 🚄📸 #TrainPhoto

Photo from my last vacation in #Sweden 🇸🇪. Taking some pictures of the Y1 railcars in use by the #Inlandsbanan was high on my priority list. We followed the Inlandsbanan south from Gällivare towards Mora (via the E45), so there were plenty of opportunities!

The first photo of the Y1 was taken at a rainy Jokkmokk Station, a bit south of Gällivare. This was the first day of their summer schedule. #TrainPhoto
