the new tractive cat tracker is disappointing;

• seemingly no wifi support, so power saving zones don't work, hence battery life is worse (even though it's advertised as better)
• the integrated collar blows! the weight setting keeps changing every time i take it off the cats, and sometimes when i put it on.
• gps performance is noticeably worse (previous one would report even when inside the house, this one doesn't)
• LED lights aren't visible at daylight so it's impossible to see when it's charging properly
• the charger is easy to knock about so that it doesn't hit the charging spots anymore because the cord is sticking upwards like 10cm on the desk

I have a tracker app for my dog which allows users to report of possible dangers to pets. Someone in the Kightswood area of Glasgow seems to have been having a bit of fun with this option over the weekend ... at least I hope that's why there are currently reports on it of a skunk, a wild boar, bobcat and a mountain lion loose on the streets around Knightswood Park!
