For #TombTuesdays. In #Aoyama #Cemetery in #Tokyo there is a section where foreigners are buried. In it, this tombstone, Annie Mary Baty, 1872-1945. I did some research; Annie, her sibling Thomas, and their mother are all buried in Aoyama. They were all born in the UK but followed to Japan when Thomas went to work as an adviser to the Japanese government in 1916, through WWII and after; their citizenship was revoked, and so they are buried here. 1/2

Let me see if this works, but this is a tomb I visited in Abu Simbel in Egypt - these hieroglyphs date back to 1264BC, and Ramesses II is reportedly buried there. #Egypt #TombTuesdays #tombtuesday
