I thought the days of the BBC treating heavy metal with contempt and disdain had long gone. Apparently not.
Tom Allom is something of a legend in the rock and metal scene, having been an engineer and producer on albums by Judas Priest, Genesis, Def Leppard, Y&T and of course the first three Black Sabbath albums.
So why does the BBC piece at https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c9w19vjy0ejo have him down as Tom Allan?
It's an abject failure to not do even basic research. It's disrespectful to Tom, whose involvement in that classic album deserves credit and respect and it's disrespectful to Black Sabbath fans who are grieving the loss of Ozzy Osbourne.
