I’ve been contacting a favorite venue that I’ve had a solid relationship for several years at to line up shows for 2026. I was hoping for two or three this coming year, and as I said, we have worked together for years. I really like the room.

Today, after several messages from me over the past couple of months, I finally heard back. The owner said they have decided on no music until February, and that they have filled their schedule for the rest of the year, but she’s got me on the list of subs in case someone should cancel.

Dissappointed and angry today. Remember, musicians, that you care more about the venues than they care about you. No one cares more about your career than you do.
