if my memory serves, this is a chesepectin jeffersonius? or smth similar! it’s a scallop and the state #fossil of #virginia! i found it in community college #geology on a field trip to the #JamesRiver.
that year was when i discovered just how passionate i was for geology and #EarthScience, so this fossil has turned into an icon of a turning point in my life.
