There is a special kind of anxiety that goes with doing a design pitch to a director you haven’t worked with before.

Especially when it’s a pretty short turn around between first meeting & director’s brief into the lighting presentation because I’m heading into four weeks of chaos so needed to do it today at the latest

This week’s mahi has been wading through schedules; (dubiously) sourcing scripts and librettos for the next five months for pre-production; and hunting down videos of shows we’re doing for research watches

I’ve watched the show I’m super excited for. Which isn’t til like June.

So now obvs I’m watching other shows I like rather than the shows I should be watching for work 😂
