Tolkien-Filmfestspiele Teil 1, #TheHobbit #AnUnexpectedJourney, 3/18 Std. geschafft. Fühle Bilbo dieses Mal sehr. Muss das Alter sein. Musste zudem die ganze Zeit darüber nachdenken, wie die ganze Story ohne Gandalf als GM-SC bzw. Deus ex machina überhaupt nicht funktionieren würde - und natürlich wieder darüber, wie genau dieser Riesenadler-Taxiservice funktioniert. Lust auf 'ne Runde #TheOneRing2e hab ich aber jetzt trotzdem.

The stars aligned and I got to run games of #TheOneRing2e for TWO groups of friends this month! The setting being LotR really helped my sales pitch, and I think it was a huge step on my journey to deprogram my friends from D&D lol

We played the starter set adventure: Over Hill and Under Hill. For the module's finale (crawling through a spooky cavern) we turned off the lights and busted out lanterns around the table. It was an absolute blast!

8/8 of my friends would recommend

Just received a shipping note from #FreeLeague. I assumed it would be #coriolisTheGreatDark #kickstarter for which they had sent the address confirmation check last week.
But in fact it's the new #TheOneRing2E starter set.
I might even receive it before its official announcement on Thursday.

Do I buy too much of their stuff? Maybe 😬

#TheOneRing2e is a VERY different game to the OSR style games I've been reading lately.

Starting gear? All your favorite weapons and armor. Oh you mean like gear? uhhh idk a "reasonable amount" of "useful items". yeah they can be whatever and they're free. Food and stuff can't expire.

You're not a player-character, you're a player-hero, you don't have to worry about dying of something pitiful or mundane like starvation. You don't have to quest to trade your 10-foot pole for that longsword you want. Here's 10 free points to spend on skills straight out the gate because you're already cool and powerful.
