One for UK #ttrpg players...
Longcon 2026 will be held at the Garrison Hotel in Sheffield the weekend of 27/28 June.
#Longcon offers a unique experience compared to other conventions in that you can play a single mini-campaign over the weekend. We've 8 fantastic games offered and you can find out more at the link below.
It's a relaxed, friendly style of play (no 3 hour slots) & I've played 2 of my best campaigns there! @eladrin & I are hoping to see some of you there!

Excited about this one. I’ve offered a weekend in Mire End, using the A|state #ttrpg’s recent #fitd edition. A weekend of the same game is very different as a convention.
The seven games at #Longcon (#Sheffield, UK, 27-28 June 2026) have just been listed. Loncon is a long-format #TTRPG convention where you play one long game over the weekend.
I will be running #ReturnOfTheRipper for #DungeonCrawlClassics #RPG. Six places available, sign up if you would like to play!
(Also if anyone is coming by car from #Liverpool on Saturday morning and can offer me a lift please PM me).
Just booked my ticket for #Longcon in #Sheffield (27-28 June).

It will be my first time at this con. I was hooked in by the idea of running a single long game over the weekend.

In 1623 the German Wilhelm Schickard produced the first known designs for a mechanical calculator. Twenty years later Blaise Pascal produced a machine of an improved design, aiming to help with the large amount of tedious arithmetic required in his role as a tax collector. The interest in mechanical calculation showed no sign of reducing in the subsequent centuries, as generations of people worldwide followed in Pascal and Wilhelm’s footsteps, subscribing to their view that offloading mental energy to a machine would be a relief.
Back in 2019, I started my journey of self-hosting iCloud and disconnecting from Apple services. Despite a few inconveniences, I am quite content with the level of customization, privacy, and ownership my self-hosted services provide. At the time I was happy that HomeKit, unlike all the alternatives such as Google
