Overall, season 2 of #TheBoothAtTheEnd was good, but much less so than season 1, and the last line was terrible, completely out of synch with the tone and implied meaning of the whole show.

Men, please stop writing scenarios where young women fall in love with significantly older men.

Yes, it sometimes happens in reality (and is absolutely ok when it does), and I admit to too often sharing that fantasy, but it is the literal default across all media, and that's truly sick and bizarre.

Stop.

The man is much too talkative and animated in season 2 of #TheBoothAtTheEnd, that's what put me off from the beginning of the first episode.

3 episodes in and he's broken almost every rule he established as inviolable in season 1.

I blame the writing for that, and executive producers #XanderBerkeley (who plays The Man character) and #AdamArkin (season 2 director).

It's much less gripping and ominous this season because of these changes, only the Doris storyline and twist keeps me watching.

I really liked the first season of #TheBoothAtTheEnd, a #Canadian #tv #show #streaming on the #Roku #channel.

I started watching the first episode of season 2 last night, and the vibe feels very different and put me off a bit.

I'm trying again now and hope it matches season 1.

They changed directors from #JessicaLandaw to #AdamArkin, who I don't like for no particular reason; he just grates, like his father πŸ€·πŸΏβ€β™‚οΈ

I haven't seen it, but your description reminds me of two #anthology series I can recommend:

#Room104: https://youtu.be/_HrNvXGcP7I (CW: brief clip of lewd noises coming from a TV fairly early on in the trailer, otherwise it's fairly safe for work)
