Barton LorimorOne of the neatest parts of the Interurban Trail: It's directly adjacent to an active rail line that shuttles brings freight and @amtrak #TrainTravel passengers between #Chicago, #STL, #LittleRock, #Austin, #SanAntonio, #Tuscon #Yuma and #LosAngeles. The southbound #TexasEagle went by this evening, as did this northbound @unionpacific freight #train.

Lunchtime! The #TexasEagle doesn't have a traditional diner car right now so instead we get the "Flexible Dining" menu of pre-made meals, originally introduced during COVID. Although it's definitely not as good as meals from the traditional diner car, the food is still fairly decent. Personally I think they really should bring back the dining car though. #Amtrak #food
