Welp... After a 25-year run, Amtrak's #HeartlandFlyer train between OKC and Fort Worth will be ending no later than October 1 due to Texas' refusal to pay their share of the cost.

Made it home safe from #TFF2024! It still never ceases to amaze me just how gorgeous Santa Fe Station in OKC is - this is the northern terminus for #Amtrak's #HeartlandFlyer. I can't wait for more people to see this comparatively small yet still mighty pretty gem once we get more trains stopping here!

I really meant to post more this weekend but I was too busy having an absolute blast at #TFF2024! It went by *way* too fast and we didn't get to see everyone we wanted to, but it was a *much* needed vacation and a great time nonetheless. PCD is already hitting pretty hard tho

Oh man, packed train this morning for the #HeartlandFlyer, to the point where even though we were 15 minutes early, the husbanderg and I couldn't find seats together. But we're on board and on our way to #TFF2024! 

On point today is #Amtrak #164, a P42DC wearing the heritage "Phase IV" paint scheme. Don't usually see the heritage units around here!

See ya later, Fort Worth! Boarding was kind of a clusterfuck thanks to rain, a bunch of passengers with baggage, and on-board crew that weren't on the same page at first.... But we're finally aboard the #HeartlandFlyer and on our way home! #Amtrak
