Well, now that #LearningStyles have been thoroughly debunked & the message is finally getting through, here comes #OUP, promoting #TeachingStyles, & prompting gullible teachers to self-identify as one of their prescribed profiles.

Dedication to the cause. I am teaching ‘Mother, any distance’ by #SimonArmitage to my Y11s on Monday. I’m going to pick one student to stand next to me then take three steps towards the door of the classroom with each line of the poem. By the end of the poem they should be well into the English corridor and thinking about how far they have moved from that parental influence.
