It occurred to me recently that it was a while since I had read any of Simon Armitage's poetry; which is a bit naughty, really, as I've amassed three new collections of his work this year alone! The trouble is that I subscribe to the Faber newsletter, and so the minute there's a new release by him, the temptation is too much to bear.
