Tigress, Heena’s female cub was getting a bit bored with her mother away to pick up dinner and her lazy brother snoring away to glory. She was under strict instructions from Heena to stay put under and around the tree with her brother and not get into any trouble. So after her nap was done, she got out from under the little tree and decided to climb it. She perched herself on a branch and decided to explore what a twig might taste like. Safe to say, she felt it was better suited to the deer and sambar.

Heena and her almost-year-old cubs live in the Shirkhada zone of the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve. It’ll be another year at most that these oversized kittens can continue being their naughty selves. A year of training in hunting and territory marking awaits after which this cub will most likely fight her own mother over the territory they now call home.

I will be attempting my first ever #pota, IN-0067, tomorrow with a QRP setup (given the flight restrictions, etc.), seem to have ticked most boxes with the prep. I'll be on 80m-10m on SSB and #FT8, using an EFHW and a #zbitx. It goes upto 5W. I had previously tested the EFHW during an impromptu trip (https://ham.bharathpalavalli.com/posts/20251014143716-my_first_field_ops/), but haven’t ever tested the zbitx. Given the quirks on it, would be interesting.

Tigress Picks Up Plastic Bottle From Waterhole 🐅

Humans have scattered #plastic across the globe, from the depths of the oceans to the heights of mountains.

This has led to animals frequently encountering discarded plastic, risking their well-being. A recent video filmed by wildlife photographer #DeepKathikar vividly illustrates the severity of this issue.

In the footage, a tigress is seen retrieving a plastic bottle from a watering hole in Maharashtra's #Tadoba National Park.
