We had an incredible evening in Portland co-hosting a live ransomware tabletop and whiskey tasting at the Multnomah Whiskey Library, with our partners at Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete, LLP. Huge thanks to Sean Hoar, CISSP, CIPP for co-presenting and bringing his expert insights as a former DOJ cyber attorney.

With every new twist in the scenarioโ€”from vendor compromise to ransom negotiationโ€”we paused to say: โ€œWeโ€™re going to need a stiff drink!โ€ โ€ฆand then poured the next spirit. It was a blast.

Tabletop IR Exercise: Sounds basic, but do you have resources to capture a network PCAP on all traffic to/from an internal IP address?

I thought it was basic too, until I was at $VeryLargeCo during a live incident and I was told that was not currently possible.
