The cancellation of #TheGathering in 2024 wore me down. Even though I stepped down as board chair a month after the event was scheduled, I didn't realize the wear before getting put on sick leave for burnout at the end of 2025.

I think the whole ordeal had traumatic impact on me.

After attending this year without responsibilities, the cancellation now feels like "afterwards" for the first time. Thinking about it doesn't bring the stress and dread which trapped me before.

I just remembered that The Gathering will be touring soon, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their album Mandylion!  So I quickly had to grad some tickets for this rare chance to hear the songs sung by Anneke Van Giersbergen.

Have the opening track to hear why I am so excited. 🥰 Such a great song...
