Has anyone seen LingoPie? You can learn languages by watching tv with subtitles and hovering over the subtitles shows the translation.

Obviously this costs money because capitalism but there is a massive opportunity out there for people encouraging use of languages outside their population centre.

S4C, for example, has both Welsh and English subtitles for everything so with a bit of will and clever coding we could have the Welsh version of this for free :)

He changed his posture significantly and started speaking authoritatively but not confidently about the increase in the numbers of Irish language speakers in Ireland. Máirín Ní Ghadhra just made an excellent point to Micheál Martin on 7 Lá, anois díreach. On the mounting pressures on the language, Martin said that recognition of the language has advanced in the EU. She made the point that it's now easier to do business as Gaeilge in the EU than it is in Ireland. The man was decentered. 1/2

I'd love to see a news item on how the superb TG4 coverage of Tour de France was put together - where did they get the drone footage, who were the reporters, etc. The reporters obviously had excellent French and sound local knowledge as well as expertise on the Tour and cycling generally
