Where on earth did these two extra stitches come from?
In this round of #YarnChicken, I pose the question do I…
A) stop these socks now and make them ankle socks and have enough yarn left over to *possibly* make a second pair of ankle socks?
B) keep knitting this pair until the yarn runs out, no matter how tall they end up being?
C) intend to follow through with B but get bored and stop too late to have enough yarn left for A but instead have an awkward amount left?
I've finally made up my mind. I'm going with the lifted increases for the gusset. I decided that I don't want the pronounced ridge that's usually created by the knit-front-and-back increase.
My challenge with the lifted increases is that, when I first learned about them, something I read said that the LLI was actually *right-leaning* and the RLI was actually *left-leaning*, which would mean using them on the opposite side of what seems intuitive.
I've since learned that's not true, but I second-guess myself every time, and it slows everything down.
