One of my favorite parts about playing the "Mouth of Mordremoth" meta is hearing Laranthir fiercely shouting orders at my sylvari throughout the battle. The VA is too good!

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day today, throwback to the time I drew Landis playing the tin whistle (also known as the "Irish flute")

Maybe I should have drawn "Fear Not This Night," haha, but for the holiday I wanted to draw one of my favorite Irish traditional tunes to play on tin whistle.
I will be very impressed if anyone recognizes it. If you do, let me know and I will draw you a sketch, because the chance seems infinitesimally small lol!

The original sketch for this was from 2023, during SotO's launch week. It was always a WIP I intended to further at a later date.
That day was apparently yesterday! It is nearing a more finished state.

2D Animation Practice: "Mordrem Lieutenant Malyck and Corrupted Trahearne"
Spent a few hours last night seeing how much I could add to this practice animation by today! When I opened the file, it was slightly further than the initial draft for the keyframes (posted WIP process gifs on my sketchblog here: https://landylachs.com/sketchblog/2026/02/trahearne-malyck-practice-animation-february-14-2026/ )
Yesterday I drew out the partially-drawn in-between "breakdown" frames from the sketch, cleaned up the lines, and added color.
Something about animating really alights a part of my mind that becomes endlessly delighted. If I had no responsibilities or physical limitations, I fear I'd become very obsessed.
It makes me want to draw until my arm falls off!

Nightmare Court necromancer sketch
I have a Nightmare Court necro who developed from a short fic I was writing, and I've been meaning to tinker with the style kit to figure out a look for him. Starting with the basics - his physicality!
First time this happened, but I'm not partial to any of the style kit options I tried for him. D: Though, I think this color scheme fits (at least for his hair + glow combination). This is one of two hairstyles which were the closest I thought fit him, but I'm not entirely satisfied with either.
I thought drawing both and keyframing his glow might help me figure out what I want for him. It's mainly convinced me I need to do some sketches of hairstyles more modified from the in-game ones, or figure out a different design not in-game for him.
