In celebration of St. Patrick's Day today, throwback to the time I drew Landis playing the tin whistle (also known as the "Irish flute")
Rather messy paintover warmup from today, of that older drawing (originally from 2019)

Maybe I should have drawn "Fear Not This Night," haha, but for the holiday I wanted to draw one of my favorite Irish traditional tunes to play on tin whistle.
I will be very impressed if anyone recognizes it. If you do, let me know and I will draw you a sketch, because the chance seems infinitesimally small lol!

Oooh tried off brand Gesso for something similar before and it dried so crunchy, but used white liquid Gesso - Titanium White - this time and first coat is very pleasing.
One more coat for full coverage but so far so good !

RivalmitThis was a fun paintover to do. Took one of photographs done by @Akulatraxas and turned the birdie to the dragon. the biggest challenge I found myself trying to solve was making the transparency of the foggy out-of-focus branches overlaying the subject. Think I managed it well enough :)
