Why the heck are both the metro and the trains out on a long weekend 🤦🏼‍♀️ #SydneyTransport or lack thereof

Trackwork buses on my line this weekend - uggggggh.

It took 25 minutes to travel only three stations, 4.5km road distance. The train usually takes 6 minutes. I just missed my connecting train by less than a minute & now must wait another hour.

As my bus got more and more delayed in traffic, I was once again astounded that there are never any traffic modifications when a railway line is closed for trackwork. No special event clearways, no temporary parking removals, no signal timing changes - nothing.

It’s always infuriating.
