Probably about a year after the TSR was put in place, work is finally being started on the points just south of Town Hall.
It's a miracle!
Last night I saw a bunch of people standing on the tram tracks to watch a busker. They were seemingly annoyed when they had to move to let a tram through, and were straight back on the tracks after it passed.
Some people have no idea, and the busker was only average anyway. 🤣
Saw two guys nearly get taken out by a tram, because their arrogance didn't take into account the fact trams cannot stop quickly as they strut across the road.
The driver quickly dropping the anchors only just prevented disaster by mere centimetres, jolting everyone inside.
That's unusual - two tram services parked up back to back, heading away from the earlier incident site at Central. The path ahead of them was clear, and the front one started moving just after the shots (note the first shot the headlights are off, and red marker lights on).
#vividSydney has begun, so #SydneyLightRail won't be running between Town Hall and Circular Quay during peak event times, because that would be far too convenient for the public.
I'm guessing they'll probably close Circular Quay station too?
Crowd management is just too hard for #TfNSW
Just saw a tram driver have to drop the anchors as someone stepped out in front, so soon after the tragedy the other day - thankfully it was going slowly due to the TSR.
I could never handle the stress of that job.
I just noticed a non-sequentially numbered tram pairing for the first time - trams 002 and 008 paired together. The system is maturing.
It may not last for long though - tram 002 is making a very rattly noise.
