xcede now uses your choice of yaml, toml or json for config files. Plus, profiles! No more mutant bash thing (well, the old config file is still supported for now).
There are other handy changes too, and don't forget the new fast build option.

If you're building iOS and Mac apps in Zed with xcede, builds have always been slower than in Xcode. Well, no more! There's a new option to make your builds just as fast.
This makes me unreasonably happy. It's just nicer.
Also, there's better support for Mac apps now.
Swift Package Manager is a really great thing. But what always bothers me is that it simply downloads the entire repository, including every bit of rubbish from the repo, which is often completely unnecessary. It would be really great if I could use Package.swift to control which files and directories are important for the package. And then it should only download THOSE. It annoys me incredibly to clutter up other people's hard drives with useless stuff...

If you're building iOS and Mac apps in Zed, you can still have reasonably usable UI previews, after a fashion. Here's a new article about that.
(Hint: it's a Mac, not a phone, and you're allowed multiple apps on-screen!)
