During an appearance on last night's (Monday, November 27) edition of Fox News' "Jesse Watters Primetime", legendary rocker and avid hunter Ted Nugent was asked what can be done to stop the invasion of hard-to-eradicate feral "super pigs" in Canada that are threatening to spill over to the United St...
Who had “super pigs” on their 2024 apocalyptic bingo card?
“Canada's problem dates back only to the 1980s when it encouraged farmers to raise wild boar, Brook said. The market collapsed after peaking in 2001 and some frustrated farmers simply cut their fences, setting the animals free.
It turned out that the pigs were very good at surviving Canadian winters. Smart, adaptable and furry, they eat anything, including crops and wildlife. They tear up land when they root for bugs and crops.”

Wild pigs roaming Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba pose a new threat. They are often crossbreeds that combine the survival skills of wild Eurasian boar with the size and high fertility of domestic swine to create a "super pig" that's spreading out of control.
"A population of hard-to-eradicate ‘super pigs’ in Canada is threatening to invade the US"
A spokespig gave the following declaration:
"Dear Americans, if you do not stop eating pork this moment, we will have to invade. We will not let the slaughter of our innocent siblings in the US go unpunished. Oink!"
Well, I guess those devious scientists in Canada have their new weapon...

Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana and other northern states are making preparations to stop an invasion of wild pigs from Canada. Wild pigs already cause around $2.5 billion in damage to U.S. crops every year, mostly in southern states like Texas. But the exploding population of feral swine on the prairies of western Canada is threatening to spill south. Worse, wild pigs roaming Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are often crossbreeds that combine the survival skills of wild Eurasian boar with the size and high fertility of domestic swine to create a “super pig" that’s spreading out of control. So northern states want to keep them out.
In order to keep my passion for Canada under control, I read today about:
- the Alberta governments plan to "refocus" healthcare. I would guess that "refocus" is a euphemism for "begin privatizing".
- the superpigs of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. These are already a menace in Texas.
- the Potato Salad Guy of Halifax. I was going to blast this as the kind of gross stunt that one might expect to see in the USA, but as I read the article I found myself warming to the Potato Salad Guy. So maybe I really am in love with Canada...

"Smart, adaptable and furry, they eat anything"
An exploding population of hard-to-eradicate “super pigs” in Canada is threatening to spill south of the border, and northern states like Minnesota, North Dakota and Montana are taking steps to stop the invasion.
"The presence of too many pigs worldwide is also wreaking havoc on the climate. Wild hogs love to rummage around in the dirt in search of food, and disturbing all that soil can release the carbon stored inside. A study published last year estimated that wild hogs cause the release of some 5.37 million tons of carbon dioxide each year. Hogs can also spread diseases that can infect humans, including E. coli, salmonella, and hepatitis." #Climate #Superpigs

"Your ass is grass, and I've got the weed whacker."
Did not have that one on my apocalypse bingo card.
