I just added an animated card showing how my Blender extension "imposter cards nacho time!" converts a buncha high poly mesh objects to fancy imposter cards that are a single plane!

I saw a "scare news" video about the Superhive's upcoming changes is going around.
I'll start a conversation + share my thoughts here 🧵 I don't work for them, just been in the loop with them about it for a bit. It's a hard decision for them to do this, but at the same time, Blender-related product creators even outside Superhive are getting diminishing returns for their efforts to maintain add-ons, especially over several years.
