30/11/2025 - Last day of meteorological autumn. The 3 cold winter months are next up. We had a lovely sunny walk today. 10 miles on quiet roads and tracks up and round Brimmond Hill just on the outskirts of Aberdeen. Chilly but the sunshine was wonderful.
Day 17 - Scots Pine
Taking a photo of a different tree each day on my walks until I don't.
Today's tree is the wonderful scots pine. There's a good few of these round here but most are planted close to each other so they just grow straight up. Nice to find one that's been given room to breathe and spread out. A magic old tree.
17/08/2025 - A sunny day full of butterflies and berries.
A slow stroll on the back roads today. It felt warm in the sunshine. I had a nice view of a small copper butterfly which made my day.
Day 16 - Common Whitebeam
Taking a photo of a different tree each day on my walks until I don't.
A warm sunny walk up the hill and round to look for conifers. There were lots but in the end this common whitebeam really caught my eye. It looked so lovely in the sunshine. I sat nearby and had my lunch. I was sleepy today, I didn't rush.
