Non-Americans may not have heard of the #SummitOfTheAmericas, which has been around since 1994 and is pan-American.
#DonaldJTrump has characterized xyr #BoardOfPeace as a replacement for the U.N. Security Council (or even the entire U.N.). There are far fewer countries in the BOP than in the U.N..
It does seem likely that the #ShieldOfTheAmericas is the same sort of reduced Trump hegemony, but aimed at the Summit Of The Americas.
My initial thought that this was the membership of the #SummitOfTheAmericas, less all of the countries that MAGA people, for one reasons or another, hate.

So Cuba is out because of the MAGA ex-pat Cubans. Canada and Mexico are out because MAGA sees them as the causes of a border 'emergency'. MAGA people simply don't care or even don't know about the smaller ones. Venezuela is obvious. And so on.
I was wondering what commonality linked those countries who did make the cut.
It says something that in 2026 your idea is actually a serious contender. Canada and Mexico aren't allowed in, but El Salvador is.
