More #SumUp integration Android vs iOS joy

The iOS SumUp app can process a "Tap to Pay" using only the device from a webapp initiated payment, while Android has to use a linked payment device

Both can initiate a manual "Tap to Pay", the Android SumUp app just didn't bother to build the Tap to pay flow

On the other hand the iOS app doesn't validate the affiliate key, so will quite happily process a payment into the wrong bank account (Ask me how we know this)

So, a webapp can initiate a payment session on a device with #SumUp installed by opening sumupmerchant://pay/1.0 with various parameters including a key and callback URIs. The amount to charge is "total" on Android and "amount" on iOS

Nothing like gratuitous API differences to make integration more entertaining...

A beautiful example from this morning. In #Czechia we don't use #IBAN to send money between banks. We have our own coding system. But(!) it's convertable. My friend tried to change her #SumUp settings not understanding this difference (no, they should NOT need to). And I did for them exactly what an average #AI would: read number, convert, click, click, save = solution.
Obviously SumUp has zero incentives to adjust to Czech specifics so they provide only tools = IBAN.

Oh ja, diese Mail habe ich auch mehrfach bekommen, @phishing_radar. Ein kurzer Blick auf den Absender und schon ist klar, dass es sich nicht um #sumup handelt. Allerdings ist es leider eine gute gemachte Mail.
