@ustralien so if the #USA dislikes someone (which happens quite often and for no valid reason but to flex or blackmail, weaponizing #US-centrism), one's basically unable to legally obtain it?

Are they just incompetent or lazy? Cuz it's not as if they couldn't get alternative payment options setip. They certainly are big enough to get in talks with big payment processors like #NowPayments, #Klarna nee #SOFORT and #Adyen that support #SEPA as well...

  • Hell, I'd assume the at least support #PayPal, cuz even #2b2t does that!

@ottona @heinsc @heiseonline damit ist #GnuTaler IMHO "Bons, nur digital" und damit wertlos bzw. nicht vergleichbar mit "#digitalerEuro" oder auch nur 08/15-Zahlungsanbietern, weil nicht fungibel wie Geld!

  • Umtauschstellen

Gibt genug Anbieter die #Monero können, vorallem weil @RoteHilfe ja kein Problem damit hat sich zu identifizieren und meines Wissens konsequent an #KYC, #AML & #CTF-Regularien hält.

Und ja, #NowPayments macht auch #Swapping von #Shitcoins automatisch und kümmert sich darum. D.h. Leute können auch mit #Shitcoins wie $TRUMP & $PEPE spenden, wenn die jene nicht explizit ablehnen!

@icedquinn @cwebber Then I recommend affected people to shame said banks and start hounding them with public complaints at regulators.

At least in #Germany banks are regulated as #Utility down to the point that espechally the public-owned ones (#Sparkasse) have been sentenced to accept clients against their will and endure anything that isn't as per ruling of law or a judge "illegal conduct"...

Even if that means people need to do #SEPA [or once launched for real globally: #wero] transfers or learn how to use #Monero and #ChangeNow / #NowPayments or similar payment service providers...

Ich hab von letzterem z.B. keine Händler im Einzelhandel gesehen (außer wir zählen #girocard dazu!)…

@emilyyoung @Natanox @R0B0_G0D the real messy part is that #VISA & #MasterCard are a bunch of shitty hipocrites.

Once said CCs cancel their pseudonymus #AVS option merely using CC numbers and/or refuse to process payments for pr0n they gonna bite the dust.

I'd say let the christofacist reactionaries "choke" on their egos and let that be a warning sign against criminalizing what adults do consensually…

@psilocervine the main cost here is bookkeeping and getting onboarded.

  • Shure #NowPayments only charges like 1% fees and offers to bulk together transfers but KYC & KYB with their partners is painfully slow.

Mind you a single #IndieDeveloper usually doesn't even make enough revenue to ROI even external tax advisors and accountants subcontracted on a as-needed basis.

  • And that's not eben touching some regulatory madness...
