Michal BryxíYears ago before there was even a hint of contemporary #AI I stated that "coding jobs are the first one to be impacted by #LLMs" to which my surprised coworkers stated "coding is too complex to be replaced by a machine". My feeling back then was that anything that can be done purely digitally has to be the first one to feel the effects as it's then (all and all) only restricted by CPU time. And I (smugly) think I was correct.
In the same way: I'd expect the IT to move from "companies selling tools" to "X* providing solutions". Meaning:
- See one of my many Tool vs Solution rant-toots.
- I'd expect people to prefer customised Solutions instead of blunt Tools.
- People's custom solutions could be shared, packaged, monetised, ... (see enshittification cycle)
