I was told that the #SubaruBRZ was slow, and then I drove a #SubaruOutback, after which I now find the former much quicker.

Forgot to add: this person may also be a never-nude.

Also, I clearly want to meet this sophisticate.

I should probably say **why** I have a #Leatherman on my belt.

A couple of years ago, on vacation with a big group of (techy) friends, one of them — Scotty -- was working on something or other and needed a tool. So he asked: “Does anyone have a (whatever thing he wanted)?”. I always carry a Leatherman in my bag, so I said “Yeah. I've got a multitool in my bag, upstairs.”. To which he replied “Then you don't have one.”

It’s one of those things that probably **shouldn’t**, but does have a big impact on you.

So when I got a belt that could hold a Leatherman, Scotty’s words were still with me.

I probably wouldn't have bothered posting this, but my friend @jammcq really wanted me to. This Leatherman situation was the “lightweight" version. When I was still a teenager my father asked me to move his car out of the driveway. So I went out and popped myself down into the driver's seat and … it was a stick. After about ten minutes he came out, looked at me with a face that just dripped with disappointment and said “You don’t know how to drive stick, do you.”. It wasn't a question. It was an accusation. My father died many many years ago now, but pretty much every car I've had from then until this automatic #SubaruOutback I just got has been stick. When I described why I always choose stick to my wife, I called it a “mental illness”. I kinda think it was. I don't want to lessen the importance of anything else with that name, just to express how powerful an effect his words had on me.

I admit saving almost 4 gallons of gas so far as well as the emissions from that using the automatic stop/start system is good. But does it have to tell me that I've sat at a dead stop in traffic/at stoplights for over 9 hours. I could have been doing something productive like sleeping.
