By being surveilled automated systems for the simple principal that we are human and we can do something bad, breaks the idea of innocent until proven guilty, by assuming we are doing something wrong and makes sure we are not.

I want privacy for the simple fact is that if one day I get that spotlight from the public, I wish to give anybody who wishes ill intent on me a few less ways to destroy my life.
My methods will not stop a motivated threat, but it is enough to make sweep net threats disintrested and advanced threats take longer.

Nothing is hack-proof afterall. Not even backdoors into systems for 'government officials only'
